What I Collect and Why
I only collect information you choose to give me, or basic data automatically gathered through normal site use (like analytics and cookies). Here’s the breakdown.
Comments
If you leave a comment on this site, I collect what you type into the comment form, along with your IP address and browser information. This helps filter out spam.
I may use a service (like Gravatar) to check whether your email is linked to a public profile picture. If it is, that picture may show up next to your comment once it’s approved. You can read Gravatar’s own privacy policy at automattic.com/privacy.
I reserve the right to remove any comment I consider offensive, inappropriate, off-topic, or that violates someone else’s rights.
Email List and Opt-Ins
If you sign up for my newsletter or grab a free opt-in, I collect your name and email address through my email service provider. I use this to send you emails related to the content, product, or freebie you signed up for, plus occasional updates about new posts or products.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email I send. I don’t sell, rent, or trade your email address to anyone.
Account Data (If You Purchase a Product)
If you buy a digital product from me, you may need to create an account with an email and password. I keep track of what you purchased, when you purchased it, and your login activity, so I can give you access to what you paid for.
I cannot see your password. Payment details are handled entirely by the payment processor (such as Stripe, PayPal, or a similar provider), not stored on my site.
Cookies
If you comment on a post, you’ll have the option to save your name, email, and website in a cookie so you don’t have to retype it next time. These cookies stick around for about a year.
Visiting the login page sets a temporary cookie just to check if your browser accepts cookies. It holds no personal data and disappears once you close your browser.
Logging in sets a few cookies to keep you signed in and remember your display settings. Login cookies last two days. If you check “Remember Me,” that stretches to two weeks. Logging out clears these cookies.
Third-Party Cookies and Ads
Some content or applications, including ads, on this site may be served by third parties, including advertisers, ad networks, and content providers. These third parties may use cookies or similar tracking technology to collect data about you when you visit.

How Long I Keep Your Data
Comments and their related data stay on file indefinitely, mainly so I can recognize returning commenters and skip the moderation queue for them.
If you create an account, I keep your profile information on file as long as your account is active. You can ask to see, edit, or remove your personal data at any time by contacting me directly.
How I Use Your Information
I use the information I collect to run this site smoothly, respond to you, deliver what you purchased, and improve the content and offers here.
This can include troubleshooting technical issues, understanding what content resonates, preventing fraud or abuse, and sending you information related to your purchase, subscription, or account.
By using this site, you agree that I can use your data for these purposes.
